pleasure club

Pleasure Club is a radio show & friendship project meditating on visions of utopia. Each week, I hone in on a text, creative work, or abstract idea & consider how it may fit into the practice of liberation, offering my own experiences and the voices of other's whenever possible. All of this is interwoven with a musical soundscape of POC experimental producers, composers, and sound artists that engage with identity and diaspora in their work.

For this season, a few of the questions I'll be looking at in particular are: What does "black joy" evoke across cities, borders, and cultural identities? How can it be used as a tool of radical resistance? How do expressions of black joy envision black utopia, and how can we collectively work towards realizing that utopic vision?
